Jimmy and Suzy Watson became involved with the equine/cutting world in the early 80's with Suzy's late father, Gene Newman.  For the past 20 years, they have been the President/Secretary/Director of the Big County Cutting Horse Association in Sweetwater, TX. Together, they have been in the ranching business along with raising, training, and showing cutting horses for over 25 years.

In 1996, they purchased 1/2 interest in a saddle business and began 10 years of integrating this business into their horse business.  In 2006 they took what they had learned in the saddle business and started their own: J & S Saddle and Tack, Inc.

Two of their saddle makers had worked with Jimmy in his previous saddle business and the three enhance one another in building the J & S brand. They have many of the top cutting horse trainers and riders putting their faith in their saddles and have made their first year of business a phenomenal success.

You can see their saddles at all three of the major NCHA events in Ft. Worth. Plus they take them to all the cutting horse events that they work.  Suzy works the practice pens at many of the limited aged events.
